Dugald Mackie - Chair
Dugald Mackie is currently Vice-Principal at the University of Manchester. Having spent over thirty years working in higher education administration and management in a number of universities and a funding council, he will be retiring from this post in September of this year. He was a member of the New Opportunities Fund board from its establishment in 1998 until 2004 and a member of the Big Lottery Fund board from 2004 until November 2006. He chaired the BLF Resources Committee , as well as its grant-making committee for the New Opportunities in PE and Sport in Schools England programme and was Vice-Chair of the open-grant Reaching Communities committee, as well as serving on other programme grant-making committees. He is currently a member of the board of the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) for higher and further education in the UK where he chairs the Audit Committee.
