Games Time
Community Celebrations is one of our national programmes, and will create high-profile spectacular and innovative celebrations in communities across the UK. Games Time is a series of large scale spectacular events that celebrate London 2012 in the East Midlands.
The project is a high profile, multi faceted event that pushes the boundaries of outdoor work. Set against a backdrop of giant video projections and music, Games Time features people from the local community competing as part of a giant performance involving kings, queens, executioners and mythical creatures, such as dragons and minotaurs. The project incorporates street performance, fire and pyrotechnic animation, digital projection and installation, and a parallel online experience.
