somewhereto
somewhereto gives 16 to 25 year olds the support to access spaces that are not available to them, to do the things they love doing.
It could be for somebody who loves being in their band but they can’t get rehearsal rooms that they can afford. somewhereto will help them identify a space they might use, help them campaign to overcome the barriers to that space and find ways to make it a sustainable solution.
Runners need tracks, singers need venues, skaters need ramps, DJs need studios and the list goes on and on.
somewhereto is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, and Legacy Trust UK has committed £5 million to the programme, which completed its development phase in 2009. A report of the findings from the pilot phase was published in November 2009.
In July 2010 Legacy Trust UK announced that youth communications agency Livity had been appointed to manage deliver somewhereto, along with media partner Channel 4 Education. You can read more about this exciting new partnership here.
