somewhereto_

somewhereto_ gives 16 to 25 year olds the support to access spaces that are not available to them, to do the things they love doing.

It could be for somebody who loves being in their band but they can’t get rehearsal rooms that they can afford. somewhereto_ will help them identify a space they might use, help them campaign to overcome the barriers to that space and find ways to make it a sustainable solution.

Runners need tracks, singers need venues, skaters need ramps, DJs need studios and the list goes on and on.

somewhereto_ is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, and Legacy Trust UK has committed £5 million to the programme, which completed its development phase in 2009.
The project, now managed in partnership between youth communications agency Livity and Channel 4 Education, is taking place throughout 2012 in spaces across the UK. Watch this short film for an introduction to the project.

You can find out more information about the project, including how to get your own somewhereto_ and how to donate a space, on the somewhereto_ website www.somewhereto.com
