Accentuate make culture accessible for all

20 February 2013

Legacy Trust UK programme Accentuate has teamed up with Heritage Open Days, an annual event which takes place every September, to explore just how accessible England's castles, city halls, galleries, museums, tunnels, tower tops and woodland walks are for disabled and deaf people who want to explore and enjoy their country’s heritage.

Workshops are being held in March in Leeds, Newcastle and London and will give practical guidance on making events more inclusive on a budget,  provide interactive, hands-on activities with an expert accessibility practitioner and give attendees an opportunity to share ideas, questions and best practice.

Sessions take place from 11am-4pm on:

14th March, Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds
15th March, Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
19th March, Clore Learning Centre, Kensington Palace
