Community Celebrations, one of our four national programmes, opened for funding applications earlier this year. The programme will fund five high-profile spectacular and innovative celebrations in communities across the UK. Legacy Trust UK has committed £4 million to this programme which aims to create a cultural legacy in each of the five successful areas.

Legacy Trust UK was delighted by the interest shown in the project, and judging by the number of applications received we believe that we have designed a programme that is relevant, exciting and important to the outdoor arts, culture and creativity sector.  Whilst the demand on the programme is challenging, we believe that it presents us with an excellent opportunity to fund the best of the best.

The Legacy Trust UK team are currently short-listing the large number of Expressions of Interest for Community Celebrations funding that arrived in our inbox. The process will take a couple of months to complete, and we hope to make an announcement about the five successful projects in the summer.
