RELAYS recognises volunteers at annual ceremony

4 February 2011

The RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy in Arts and Youth Sport) project is designed to inspire young people and their communities to take part in cultural and sporting activities in the South West. RELAYS is supported by a team of volunteers who have a major role in the planning and co-ordination of events around the region. To date RELAYS has offered over 2500 volunteering opportunities, and recently three volunteers were presented with awards at the annual RELAYS Volunteer Awards.

Three South West volunteers were presented with awards at the annual RELAYS Volunteer Awards at the end of 2010. The awards recognised the outstanding voluntary work that the three volunteers had undertaken for the community through RELAYS sponsored projects. The winners were presented with their trophies by Olympic Gold Medallist Jason Gardener MBE.
