Still Moving Exhibition Opens 18 March

15 March 2011

Still Moving is a touring exhibition by Siobhan Davies Dance which investigates choreography as a stimulus for photography and film. It opens on 18 March at Siobhan Davies Studios alongside a new work created by Lucy Cash, and will then travel to libraries and theatres across south London.

Still Moving showcases work by participants from Siobhan Davies Dance's Capture* dance photography course and Seven Ways South, a short film commissioned by Siobhan Davies Dance for Big Dance 2010. This exhibition focuses on the creative choices of those who move and those who watch, to create a dialogue between these art forms.

The visual art exhibition will be accompanied by a movement workshop for adults, Composing from Everyday Life. Participants will explore ways of composing images with both objects and bodies, that begin inside a frame but without a camera, playfully drawing on the ways that we make patterns in every day life. Suitable for anyone interested in choreography and composition. No previous experience necessary.
