Olympic gold medalist Darren Campbell has welcomed the announcement of the Gymnastics squad list for the 2009 UK School Games.

"The announcement of the UK School Games Gymnastics Squad marks an important step in the sporting careers for 52 upcoming athletes,” said Campbell, the UK School Games Ambassador. The list comprises the highest performing competitors of school age, representing England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The UK School Games will be held from 3 – 6 September, with Gymnastics events taking place at the Planet Ice Rink in Cardiff.
