Regional programmes
Legacy Trust UK is allocating approximately half of its endowment (£24 million) to 12 programmes across the nations and regions of the UK.
All of these programmes have been selected and are being managed at regional level. The grants are being and distributed by regional bodies, who understand what will work in their regions, and where investment is needed.
The 12 regional programmes vary widely from region to region, but all of them share three key aims:
- to unite culture, sport, knowledge and learning, in line with the values and vision of the Olympics
- to make a lasting difference to all those involved
- to be grassroots projects, often small in scale, and uniting communities of interest at local and regional level.
